About Madar

What is Madar?
A: Madar at Aljada is Sharjah’s exciting new family friendly entertainment destination. There are plenty of attractions onsite, including a children’s adventure playground, a skatepark and a food district with 18 different branded outlets, selling a wide range of flavours and tastes. The focal point of Madar is the Aljada Discovery Centre, which has been designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, which will give visitors a chance to experience what living in Aljada will be like when Sharjah’s largest megaproject is complete. Madar is easy to access for residents of Sharjah, the Northern Emirates and Dubai, and there is plenty of free parking onsite.


How do I get to Madar?
A: Madar is located within Aljada, Sharjah’s largest megaproject, which is located between Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Al Dhaid (Airport Road), University City and University City Road. You can use Google Maps or Waze to locate Aljada.

Can I use public transport to get to Madar?
A: There is currently no bus system that goes to Madar. You may access the site via private car or by taxi.


Is there an entry fee for Madar?
A: No, there is no entry fee for Madar. Guests are welcome to enjoy the wide range of facilities, including access to Playscape and the skatepark absolutely free of charge.

How much does parking cost?
A: Parking is free during Madar’s opening hours, but all vehicles must be removed outside these times. Any vehicles left in the parking area may be towed.

A: Madar is open between 10am and 10pm on weekdays.

When is Madar open at weekends?
A: Madar is open between 10am and midnight on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays

Is Madar open during the summer?
A: Madar will remain open during the summer months.

Does Madar offer free wifi to visitors?
A: Madar does not yet offer wifi to visitors, although this facility will be added in the coming months.

Is Madar accessible for people of determination?
A: Yes, all our facilities are accessible for people of determination, and there are a number of parking spots allocated to people of determination.

Is there an ATM in Madar?
A: No, there is no ATM yet in Madar, although one will be put into the complex by the end of March. The nearest ATM is located next to the Al Falah Mosque on University City Road.


Is there a first aid point in Madar?
A: Yes, the first aid point is located in the management office.

I have lost my child, can you make an announcement over the public address system?
A: If you have lost your child, please approach any member of the security team, or go to the management office.

I lost my (mobile phone, wallet, bag, car key) in Madar, where is the lost and found office?
A: The lost and found office is at the management office.


How many outlets are there at Zad?
A: There are 18 outlets in Zad, offering a wide range of flavours and cuisines.

Which types of food do you serve at Zad?
A: Zad has a wide range of flavours and cuisines, including burgers, Italian, Japanese, Indian and vegan, alongside coffee shops and a minimart.

Which outlets do you have at Zad?
A: The list of outlets at Zad are as follows:
Retro 7, Sushi Station, Falafelz, Cupagahwa, Kullaj Omar, Chicken n Cone, Feels, Krush Burger, Dookies Cookies, Slice & Bun, Mr. Brisket, Verger, Dr Pasta, Project Chaiwala, Amorino, Shaklan Mini Mart, Cracked and Musl.

Can I reserve a table at Zad/my favourite outlet for a specific time?
A: Unfortunately, there are no reservations at Zad, and space is taken on a first come first served basis.

Are the timings for Zad different from other destinations in Madar?
A: Zad is open between 10am and midnight on weekends and 10am and 10pm on weekdays.

I want to file a complaint against a food outlet in Madar/an experience I have had at Madar, what is the contact number or email address to share my feedback?

How many parking spaces are there at Madar?
A: There are around 400 parking spaces at Madar.

Is there covered parking at Madar?
A: There are no covered parking spaces at Madar.

Is the parking at Madar secure?
A: Madar is patrolled by Arada’s security teams on a 24 hour basis, however users of the car park do so at their own risk and the management cannot be responsible

Is valet parking available in Madar?
A: Yes, there is valet parking at Madar.

Is there parking for people of determination in Madar?
A: Yes, there are parking spaces for people of determination in the Madar carpark.

What is the age restriction for Playscape?
A: All ages are welcome to enjoy Playscape, although we ask that children are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

What is the age restriction for the skatepark?
A: Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All users under 16 must strictly wear a helmet at all times. Additional safety gear is highly recommended to all users of all ages including kneepads, elbow pads, wrist guards and proper shoes

Can I have a BBQ at Madar?
A: No BBQs are allowed at Madar for safety reasons.

Can I bring my own food & drinks to Madar?
A: No, you may only consume food and drink that has been purchased in Zad.

What is the dress code for Madar?
A: We request that all visitors to Zad wear respectful clothing at all times

Can I have a party at Madar?
A: All leasing enquiries should be directed through the leasing office at leasing@arada.com.
